How we make a gluten free chutney.

We understand that the free from market is growing and the choice of good quality gluten free food is fairly limited. So we decided to look at our favourite chutney recipe and see how it could be adapted without losing any of the flavour. The resulting preserve, we are glad to say, is even more delicious and so will eventually replace our Apple Chutney with Dark Scottish Ale. The introduction of cider vinegar and Wold Top Gluten Free Marmalade Porter has created a dark, rich and complex preserve which would grace any cheese board. Perfect with a pork pie too!

The ingredients get to know each other in the maslin pan.

Two hours later we have a rich, dark, glossy chutney.
